A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Comedy of Errors

A Midsummer Night's Dream

This MULTI-AWARD WINNING production has played to packed houses all over the world. A Midsummer Night's Dream is fresh, funny and beautifully lyrical.

Love and illusion collide in Shakespeare’s most magical play, when two pairs of lovers become entangled in fairy mischief on the eve of a Royal Wedding. Dreams and reality become interchangeable within the romantic chaos that ensues and misplaced passions are ignited as appearances become ever more deceptive.

The Comedy of Errors

Propeller revives their CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED tour of Shakespeare’s smartest and most farcical comedy.

Two sets of estranged twins, separated at birth, find themselves in the same city 25 years later with hilarious consequences. A series of mistaken identities, assumed personas, and wild mishaps bring a family crisis - so complicated that time itself loses the plot - into heart warming focus. Fortunately the audience is always one step ahead…

One thing is for certain: no one does Shakespeare like Propeller.

Propeller will present these plays from November 2013 until August 2014 as part of a national and international tour.

2014 Charity

Propeller has performed in the intervals of our productions since the company started 18 years ago. Instead of taking a well-earned rest, the cast traditionally entertain audiences with a cappella singing, followed by a charity collection. Propeller’s “busking” is now a much-loved and highly-anticipated feature of every tour, and this year we will be performing during the intervals of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Propeller has raised more than £100,000 for charities including Target Ovarian Cancer, Save the Children, The Epilepsy Society, Prostate Cancer Care and the Devon-based children’s charity, Lifeworks. This year, we have chosen to support Jeans for Genes.

Jeans for Genes Day raises money for Genetic Disorders UK, the charity that aims to transform the lives for thousands of children affected by disorders. Jeans for Genes Day is an annual fundraising event. Millions of office workers and school children wear their jeans for the day and make a £1/£2 donation. Jeans for Genes Day provides funding for the care and support of children with genetic disorders through a grant programme.
